Dedication Statement

This website is dedicated to the wife of my youth, Cindy Ann Russell.  On Sunday morning March 11th, 2007, Cindy was admitted into our local hospital after complaining of severe stomach pains. Late that same night, doctors at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland  informed us of the worst possible news. After taking numerous scans of Cindy's abdomen, and finally, a biopsy of Cindy's liver, the tests confirmed that over 75% of her liver had been consumed by a rare and deadly form of cancer known as cholangiocarcinoma.  This prognosis gave my beautiful Christian wife of over 37 years less than six months to live. The next morning I awoke in the same hospital room chair that I had fallen asleep in the night before. To my surprise, Cindy was sitting on the edge of her hospital bed only a few feet away smiling at me.  "Neill," she declared, her dark brown eyes beaming with excitement, "God told me last night that when I get my miracle, you are to make me a website to give people HOPE!" Cindy did get her miracle!  On July 10th, 2007,  almost four months to the day Cindy was told by her doctors to go home and die, she was declared 100% cancer free on national television.  On September 27th of that same year, www.curedoflivercancer.com ,the website Cindy asked for me to make her to give people HOPE made its Internet debut. For the past six years, www.curedoflivercancer.com has been ranked the number one liver cancer website giving true Hope to millions of cancer victims worldwide desperately searching for a miracle.

Cindy died on November 16th, 2009, living life to the fullest two years beyond her terminal diagnosis.  During her extended time on earth, Cindy did exactly what Jesus called all of us to do: Mark 16:15,  "Go out into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone."  For two full years, Cindy preached the message of Hope to the hopeless, laying her anointed hands on the sick and, through the power of God, they were healed.

Many people, including her husband, have questioned, Why did Cindy have to die so young?  She was only 55 years old when she left this earth and went home to Heaven.  Isn't it recorded in the Bible (Psalm 90:10) that mankind was given at least 70 years of life? To help answer that question, may I share an excerpt taken from Cindy's Story, a 72 page book I wrote three weeks after Cindy died.

I will finish Cindy’s Story with this statement; Words alone cannot express how much I miss my wife. We grew up together. Every square inch of our house shouts Cindy. Her earthly imprints are everywhere I look. I will never stop loving her, but I also look forward to the day when I will see her again. Where she is now, there is no cancer! There are no tears! This is the blessed assurance and hope that we have as Christians. No other religion offers it! It is a done deal if you make Jesus Lord and Savior of your life.

I just got off the phone a few minutes ago with our very good friend, Linda Stevenson. Linda, of all people, knew how much Cindy loved to celebrate Christmas. For over twenty years, she and her late husband Brad have been our invited guests for Christmas dinner. (Brad Stevenson was also my best friend. Brad went home to be with Jesus in November of 2005.) Before hanging up, Linda made a statement that just blessed me to no end. She had just been thinking about how much she missed Cindy, especially today being Christmas Eve, when this thought came to her. Don’t worry about Cindy. She’s doing great. Where she is now, everyday is Christmas!” Praise God! What a revelation and what a tremendous Christmas gift God has just given me. Just think about it! For one day out of the entire year, the world attempts to capture just a tiny speck of what God offers anyone who accepts His Christmas present, for all eternity! I will never stop loving my Lord and Savior, Jesus. I will continue trusting Him, even when His ways do not appear to make any sense to my limited human mind. God promises me this; if I continue living out the rest of my life according to my favorite verse, Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Me, and I will direct your paths.” then His plans for my life will always - turn out perfect!

On Saturday July 16th 2011, I married Mary Ann, a widow and beautiful Christian woman who loves God with all of her heart and loves people with the love and compassion of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Yeshua the Messiah.  Did I forget to mention - Mary Ann is also my next door neighbor.  She and my other dear Christian neighbor Sue helped care for Cindy the last few months when she was sick.
